Hi , my name is Fiona Molen. As a cake designer creating wedding cakes in Perth for , well can we just say, over a decade, I have seen many trends come and go, made many of them and hopefully set a few trends of my own along the way. From the funkiest, brightly coloured,  wedding cakes to elegantly piped buttercream cakes and EVERYTHING in between. I have to say, never before have I seen so many stunning new concepts for cake design and I am lucky enough to have made many of these wedding cakes for Perth couples. I would love to share some of the beautiful wedding cakes I have made for Perth couples and some of the stories behind the cake and the lovely couples I meet.

The first cake I would love to show you is one using a beautiful gold metallic effect. Silver is certainly popular at the moment but I also love the gold and the way the fuschia  coloured fresh flowers really ‘pop’  against the gold.

For a more subtle metallic lustre I am loving the pearl metallic finish overlayed with icing stenciling and decorated with pretty  handmade icing gardenias.
