Continually keeping abreast of the latest design trends, The Cake Studio understands the importance of combining the latest styles with the finest flavours. Whilst many couples fall in love with the wedding cakes we have already designed, you may have ideas of your own you wish to incorporate. The Cake Studio are only too happy to blend your thoughts and ideas into the cake of your dreams. These ideas may include the use of fresh flowers or sugar flowers on your cake. The selection of which decadent flavour to treat your guests to also requires consideration and sampling.This is the truly delicious part! Here are some ideas...

Sugar Flowers

Understated elegance, contemporary couture, traditional or funky? Using full-size sugar flowers in various stages of bloom, exquisite ribbon or maybe a touch of ‘bling’, the Cake Studio can create an original design to suit your style and personality.

Fresh Flowers

Fresh flowers can look simply stunning on your wedding cake. On their own, or coupled with fruit (eg grapes or berries), beautiful fragrant flowers are a superb option. The Cake Studio can arrange the fresh flowers on your cake upon arrival at the reception. This will ensure the flowers will look magnificent and last throughout the duration of your reception. Tigerlillies and magnolias are very popular for a contemporary look that lasts. Gardenias, roses and gerberas are also very resilient.

Flavours - Indulge!

Chocolate Mud Cake
This cake has a perfect texture with a layer of chocolate truffle filling. May also be served as dessert by adding a strawberry or raspberry coulis, ice cream, cream and fresh berries. Heavenly!

White chocolate mud cake
This cake has a light vanilla flavour and chocolate truffle filling. Many couples choose to have a combination of chocolate and white chocolate mud cake within each tier. Each guest is treated to a slice of cake that is half chocolate and half white in colour.                  This also presents beautifully for a dessert. Irresistable!

Brandied fruit cake
A deliciously moist cake made with generous amounts of fruit and cherries soaked in brandy. A three-tiered wedding cake is made with two bottles of fine French brandy. Truly decadent!

Banana cake
A gorgeous cake loaded with fresh sweet bananas. Simply divine!



Hummingbird cake
This cake is a perfect combination of fresh bananas and pineapple with a hint of coconut. Luscious!


All cakes may be iced in either a delicious buttercream or a perfectly smooth rolled fondant.
